Dr peña did fantastic. My eyesight on both eyes were at a -3.25 and during the eye exams couldnt even make out the huge letter "E". I got my lasik yesterday and now i can see everything clearly not even 24hrs later! He explained everything perfectly and answered all my questions. His humor and great personality made it an even better experience. Glad i chose to trust him with my eyes!

I had the pleasantly and rare opportunity to find such an exceptional team of eye care experts, capable of mirroring excellence at every level of what they do. First I feel privileged then I am thankful to have my hopes for my ophthalmology challenges to be treated and certainly exceeded my expectations. I-truly value the level of piece of mind I only feel when my health is undoubtedly rectified and in check. Thank you doctor Peña and your team, to say the least!!! There’s no wonder your commitment to your professional duty, humbly takes you around the world to treat those who need you most. Getting nothing in return but just an irrefutable sense of purpose, just like everything you do. My visit to your clynic was an exceptional treat.

Speaking of our, first time experience at this office, our experience wasn’t as it should have been. One of the receptionist lacked professionalism, patient etiquette, as well as patient confidentiality. I couldn’t believe how rude she was relating herself over not having a referral form with us, (which we weren’t told by referring Dr. that was needed). I understand each medical office has their rules to abide, but instead of rudely telling us we couldn’t be seen without a referral, she could have politely explained the situation to us. Good grace, another receptionist explained to her to just gather our medical forms and how they would call referring Dr for referral. We are thankful to her for making our first visit smooth after what felt as being attacked for something we were unaware of. Especially since medical issues were very apparent on my brother. This is not a hate review. This is simply a review to better training. Sincerely, Someone wanting to make this world a better place for EVERYONE.

Excellent service from start to finish! From the moment you walk in, you are treated with a smile. The technicians are very knowledgeable and friendly. I was very pleased with my exam with Dr. Tijerina. He is very thorough and takes time to listen to your concerns. I will definitely be trusting Pena Eye Institute for all of my eye care needs.
